Water route to Alaska

I think I may have to change the name of this adventure to the "Water route to Alaska".
We left San Antonio just as a storm was brewing, waited it out for 2 hours in  a picnic stop, got to Lamesa and hit another storm with tornados brewing. When you're driving along and the road is filled with people stopped along the road watching the storms, it's not a good sign!!
The last storm was a few miles away and we thought we could wait it out in Lubbock, nice RV park there. We set up and the storm hit! And it hit hard. A little rain on the roof is fine, this was scary. They got 7 inches of rain that day in Lubbock,Tx. Oh, by the way, the road we had driven over, a foot of standing water, we drove thru, was also where the Tornado touched down a few mins later. Wow, l now know I am not a good storm chaser.
Decided to wash a load of clothes and the washer wouldn't start. Wow! As we worked on it and called for help on the warranty, I looked down on the floor and there was a water leak under the refrigerator.  Easy fix according to husband. But not the washer. Was going to be several days for parts, decided to leave it with friends in Lubbock, get another one and get on the road. Come back thru on the way home to pick up. Used it last night and it works wonderful. If any of you think I'm too spoiled to wash at a laundryman, we didn't pack a lot of clothes, we only pack 2-3 days of clothes and wash. Pack light, enjoy the road.
Well let's see what tomorrow brings!
