Were here a day to visit Custer's Last Stand, the battlegrounds and Little BigHorn National Monument. What an amazing place. I know I learned this in history class, but walking the fields, watching the movies, hearing the rangers and the Crow members talk of the battles, what the Indians went thru, is so dramatic.
When we first signed in the Visitor Center, looking around at all the history surrounding us, my husband heard someone say they were here from San Antonio. I turned around, a friend, nurse I've worked with for over 20 years, and her husband were also visiting! Wow, over 1000 miles away to meet my friend from a few miles away. What a small world.

The Ranger explaining about the battles.
National Monument bearing the names of the soldiers that died in the battles here.
Custer's Tombstone where they found his body slain, His body is interned at West Point.
Husband, Lindle, listening intently to the Ranger explaining more points on the Battles, where the soldiers are lain and the history surrounding the Indians in the Crow Reservation.
Wild ponies that were all over the Crow Reservation in the National Park. It was beautiful watching them run and play. That is a small colt with his mother.
Loved all the sculptures we saw along the road to the Battle fields.
That's a Jack-0-loupe, and you thought they weren't real!!
Couldn't get enough pics of all the wild ponies, they were having such a great time in the fields.
That's all folks....for today...more added when we get to Great Falls, MT and then on to Canada on our trek North.
