April 26, 2015 Sunday, A day of rest
We needed a day to only rest after the last few days of sight-seeing and
wedding plans. Another massage for both
of us, food at the local market and just a few walks around the block to see a
few more sights. Spent a lot of time on the computer looking at our next part
of the trip into Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos.
Lots of planning and deciding how to manage the transport and what to
see next.
April 28, 2015, Tuesday – Pattaya
Beach

Planned a lunch with NayNae, another friend in Thailand. She was finishing her Masters degree in SA a
few years ago, we met and went to her graduation, spent some dinners together
and haven’t seen her since she came back to Thailand to go to work. She is
actually working in Malaysia, but was home visiting parents in Thailand this
week, so we planned to meet for lunch.
Her parents came as well, we spent the afternoon together, mostly
eating!! Thai’s really like to eat. Had such good food, a great drive to Pattaya
Beach, great sights on the way, more eating.
What wonderful people we have
met.

April 29-30, 2015 Wednesday-Thursday.
how many foot massages is too many?
We are so getting spoiled by having a
massage place right across the street from the hotel. Its so inexpensive to get a massage, that it
would be a crime not to get one every day.
Or at least that’s what we keep telling each other!! One day we do a foot massage, the next we do a full aromatherapy
massage, then come back in the evening for another foot massage. Can I have a Thai girl come live with us, and
do a massage every day???
Dinner tonight with Gal’s family and then Gal and Jonathan fly back from
the beach to spend one night in Bangkok before heading out for Japan for the
rest of their honeymoon. Said that the
rainy season hit while they were at the beach, but they had a great view from
their room. After Japan they are heading
back to Boston, to start their married life and back to work and studying.
May 1, Friday, Bangkok.
Last meal with the newlyweds and Gal's family. We loved this restaurant last night and headed back for lunch today to have more Thai foods. I don't think I can get enough of the local foods. I love the custom of ordering several dishes and then putting them all in the middle of the table and everyone having a small portion of each one. So much more fun than ordering only one dish and having to eat all of it and not tasting a little of each one. I think this will be my new tradition when we get home. Think I can talk Lin into that?

Lunch with the newlyweds and the family.
